A graduate of English philology (1993), Łukasz Bogucki did his PhD in translation studies in 1997 and received the title of full professor in 2014. He has published extensively on audiovisual translation as well as computer-assisted translation. He has founded the Polish audiovisual translation research group Intermedia. He co-edits the Peter Lang series Łódź Studies in Language. He used to sit on the editorial board of the Journal of Specialised Translation. Apart from audiovisual translation, his research interests are the theory and methodology of translation and interpreting.
Over 30 research and study trips to universities in the UK, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Finland, Ireland, Turkey, Portugal, Sweden, Lithuania, and Switzerland.
