About

My research interests include comparative poetry (Irish, British, Modern Greek, Polish), ecocriticism, translation and politics/history. The last project, called “IRELLAS: Irish Poets and Contemporary Greece” (www.irellas.com), was carried out partly in the framework of the Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowship in cooperation with the University of Athens. Before that, I had completed a joint doctorate (thèse en co-tutelle) at the Université Paris III-Sorbonne Nouvelle and University of Lodz (The Role of Contemporary Northern Irish Poetry in the Context of the Conflict in Ulster, 2003, grade: très honorable). I have also worked as translator, interpreter, and Vice-President (2000-2019) of the Tansman Association for the Promotion of Culture (organiser of the Tansman International Festival and Competition of Musical Personalities, and of the Children’s Creativity Festival).
