Aleksandra Matusiak received her master’s degree from the University of Lodz where she teaches at the Department of North American Literature and Culture. Since September 2016 she has been working on her Ph.D. dissertation which is devoted to the concept of community in selected literary texts by Chicana authors. Her academic interests lie in Latino literature in the USA and she is engaged in research on ethnic and female identities in the US minority literature. Since 2013 Aleksandra Matusiak has been teaching practical English (BA program at the faculty of linguistics for business).
