Dr Piotr Spyra teaches medieval and early modern English literature at the University of Łódź. His doctoral dissertation was a monograph devoted to the epistemological issues raised by the works of the Pearl-Poet, and his research interests revolve around Middle English poetry, medieval folklore, Renaissance drama as well as literary theory. He is the founder and supervisor of the Geoffrey Chaucer Student Society, an academic society aimed at promoting Middle English and Early Modern literature among students of English literature in Poland.
Dr Piotr Spyra is a member of the University of Łódź Centre for Studies in Medieval and Renaissance English Literature.
